Is the amount of open access publishing growing, decreasing or stabilising at the UPC? The Open Access Thermometer shows how open access publishing of journal articles, books, doctoral theses and final theses has evolved in recent years.
With the Thermometer, you can see, year on year, the proportion of open access publications in relation to the total number of publications by UPC researchers and students.
The Open Access Observatory aims to measure the output of open access journal articles published by UB, UOC and UPC researchers.
The website provides aggregate data on the participating institutions and information on the effect of institutional mandates in favour of open access. It also presents the percentages of gold, hybrid and green open access publishing.
The UPCommons Research Data collection allows you to host, conserve and publish the datasets that must accompany the publication of a research article or participation in a H2020 project.
The datasets published in UPCommons can be linked to the research article and/or project with which they are associated. Every dataset hosted in UPCommons is assigned a DOI.
In addition to all the theses defended at the University, the scientific output portal FUTUR allows you to filter and recover UPC theses carried out in the framework of the Industrial Doctorates Plan.
To date, 13 theses have been defended in the framework of the Industrial Doctorates Plan. In FUTUR, they are distinguished by a specific icon and are available in open access, unless there is a confidentiality agreement with the company at which they were carried out.
From 22 to 28 October, the UPC joins the International Open Access Week. This tenth edition will focus on not just open access but also open science: open data, open source software, open educational resources, academic social networks, citizen science, etc.
We will shortly be publishing all the scheduled activities, which you can also follow using the hashtags #OpenAccess_UPC and #OAWeek.
DiscoveryUPC is a new search engine for finding articles, proceedings, journals, books, databases and printed resources that are available in the UPC’s libraries and the academic output in UPCommons using a single interface. It is featured on the Bibliotècnica homepage.
