Whenever you sign a journal article or any other publication or academic work, follow these three guidelines:
Having an updated ORCID profile is a requirement in many research calls, such as PID 2025 and the sexennia. This unique identifier (16-digit code) ensures that your scientific production is attributed to you unequivocally, avoiding confusion with other authors with the same name.

The FECYT, in collaboration with Clarivate and Elsevier, has scheduled 6 webinars on the Web of Science and Scopus databases from December 2nd to 16th.

The official launch of SÍLICE, the first Spanish scientific literature search engine based exclusively on open sources, has been announced. This initiative by the Instituto de Estudios Sociales Avanzados (IESA - CSIC) is free and contains more than 18 million publications (2 million Spanish).
SILICE (Sistema de Información sobre LIteratura Científica Española) is based exclusively on open sources (such as Crossref, OpenCitations and OpenAlex) and allows the generation of impact and attention indicators, as well as innovative metrics aligned with current evaluation trends (CoARA, DORA). You can register on the platform with your ORCID to update your researcher profile.
From December 22 to January 6, libraries will change their usual opening hours and borrowing and reservations may be affected.
UPC Reservations
Reservations for UPC documents made from December 17 may be served with a delay due to the closure of some libraries during Christmas. The service will be restored from January 7. Check the opening hours of the libraries during Christmas.
PUC Reservations (Consortium Loan between Catalan Universities)
From December 15, Consortial Loan (PUC) requests will not be able to be made due to the closure of the libraries. The service will be restored from January 7.
Copies and Interlibrary Loan
You can continue to request articles/book chapters for free through DiscoveryUPC - International Area during Christmas, but the UPC interlibrary loan service will remain closed and will be restored from January 7th.
