Have you come across the University of Manchester’s Academic Phrasebank?
We recommend it. You’ll find it and other resources in the Writing for Science section of the Language and Terminology Service’s website.
The Academic Phrasebank is a resource for academic writers that provides hundreds of examples of expressions that can be used to articulate scientific discourse. It is divided into categories such as Defining Terms, Reporting Results and Writing Conclusions.
