Do you know the Creative Commons licences?

Do you know the Creative Commons licences?

Creative Commons (CC) licences are assigned to publications such as journal articles and theses. They move away from “all rights reserved” policies and promote “copyleft”. CCs do not invalidate the copyright of a work, just some third-party rights. The conditions are chosen by authors themselves when they publish their work.

When assigning a licence, Creative Commons will ask two questions:

  • Do you allow commercial uses of your work?
  • Do you allow your work to be modified?
If you have any questions, ask us!
