Does your Google Scholar profile appear in the rankings?
On September 25, 2025, Isidro Aguillo from the Cybermetrics Lab of the CSIC published the beta version of the ranking 'Spanish researchers in Spain and abroad and foreigners in Spanish institutions' with the following inclusion criteria:
- Have a public personal profile on Google Scholar. If you do not have a Spanish postal address or institutional email address, inform the ranking editor (Isidro Aguillo) of the profile URL.
- Clearly link the Google Scholar profile with the UPC through the RoR
- Include the ORCID in your Google Scholar profile, either after your name, under other names, or on your personal page
- Have an ORCID identifier registered with a full name identical to the one used in your Google Scholar profile
If you don't see your name there, you have until the end of October to update your profiles and appear in the next version. See the updated guide for Google Scholar and ORCID profile review and also review other researcher profiles .
Keeping your Google Scholar and ORCID profile up to date is a good practice that:
- It improves the visibility and impact of an author and the institution.
- It facilitates the dissemination of scientific publications and other academic work.
- Provides information on relevant bibliometric indicators.
- Allows you to verify document citations.
- Offers alerts to stay updated.
