Research Cafés are informal gatherings, organized by the UPC libraries, to learn about and enhance the visibility of the University's research staff projects. These days bring together doctoral students, teaching and research staff and other members of the University and society to promote the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and collaboration between research areas.

When: April 24, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Arnau Lario Devesa, Carlos Palacín Copado and Oriol Morillas Samaniego from the Centre per a l'estudi de la interdependència provincial a l'antigüitat clàssica (CEIPAC). Les eines digitals en l'estudi de l'economia i societat greco-romanes.
   
• Aleix Saura. Petjades urbanes a El Caire: superposició digital d'imatges i plànols d'una ciutat verda enmig el desert.
   
• Ricard Garcia Orallo. Port Arrivals Data. Automatic data collection for a large-scale comparative history of 19th century shipping: a Digital Humanities approach to maritime heritage.
   
• Mónica Sambade. Los espacios dedicados a los dioses en la Grecia temprana.

In accordance with what is required in the Academic Regulations for Doctoral Studies, the Data Management Plan must be submitted as part of the Research Plan.

To prepare it you can:

• use the specific template for PhD students of the CORA DMP tool. It contains instructions and examples for each section and is available in Catalan, Spanish and English. Once you have finished it, you can request that the library staff review it.
• attend the Research Data Management training workshop that the libraries regularly offer.
• contact your library or send a message to info.biblioteques@upc.edu.

The Libraries Service has signed a transformative agreement for 2024 with the publishing house Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) that allows UPC correspondence authors to publish in open access in the journals published by this publishing house at no cost.
