The Research Data Repository (RDR) working group, formed by the universities and research centers that make up the repository, established in December 2023 the first version of the Repository Regulations.
This document, which is available in Catalan and English, regulates the criteria for depositing data, the use of licenses, or the level of openness of data sets, among others.
Diamond journals are open access journals that do not charge either the authors or the readers because they are subsidized by scientific societies, universities, etc. Therefore, they have no economic barriers neither to access nor to publish.
This model is attractive to researchers and funding institutions, as it meets the current requirements of transparency and free access to research.
According to Coalition S, there are more than 29,000 diamond magazines worldwide; more than 13,000 are registered in DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals which, with the Journals without fees option, is one of the most useful tools for finding this type of publication.
The European university alliance Unite! presents its white book on open science. It is a practical guide to facilitate the transition towards open science for researchers, R&D support services and university managers.
It collects more than 70 good practices of research groups from 7 European universities in the areas of:
Doctoral School, with the collaboration of the Culture and Community Area of the UPC, is organizing the second edition of the Sant Jordi Microstories Competition.
This literary competition wants to contribute to the promotion of scientific dissemination and therefore invites doctoral students from all fields to participate and send a short report related to their research topic.
The contest will have one winner and two finalists.
The term ends on April 14.
