On 19 October, the Baix Llobregat Campus Library held a Research Café on seas and oceans.
Projects were presented in which technology serves the seas and oceans.
The presentations, which are published in UPCommons, are divided into three areas.
This year, the Rector Gabriel Ferraté Library has compiled the ranking of most consulted UPC doctoral theses published in 2020 and 2021, which shows the 25 most consulted UPC doctoral theses in UPCommons.
The most consulted thesis is Arquitectura moderna de Quito, 1954-1960 (Modern architecture of Quito, 1954-1960), by Dr Shayarina Monard of the Department of Theory and History of Architecture and Communication Techniques.
Dr Renwen Yu has received another prize for his thesis, Toward next-generation nanophotonic devices.
Having received the UPC's Special Doctoral Award for the 2018-2019 graduation year in the Science field and the GEFES 2019 Best Theoretical Thesis in Condensed Matter Physics award from the Spanish Royal Physics Society, the European Physical Society has now awarded him the 2021 Quantum Electronics and Optics Division Thesis Prize.
