The bibliographical exhibition on Eduard F. Sekler is formed by both the ETSAV Library's own materials (four books and a selection of contributions to books and journals) and material from other public and private institutions (the Oriol Bohigas ETSAB Library, the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya Library, the Fundació Joan Miró Library, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona Library). In addition, the exhibition contains a bibliographic dossier with Sekler's prolific contribution. It is completed by a series of original material which Sekler’s widow, Patricia Sekler, has donated to the library and the original notes of Jaume Freixa from his time as a student in Sekler’s history classes at Harvard. The exhibition will be accompanied by a lecture from the responsible professors to the students of Composition IV on Friday the 16th of March at 12:15h. The presentation is open to the public.
In addition to the libraries that have shared their resources, we would like to thank: professors Josep Giner, Raúl Martínez and Jose Ángel Sanz from the Department of History and Theory of Architecture and Communication Techniques for the initiative and implementation of this idea and the selection of works; Aleksandra Pawloff for allowing the use of Sekler’s photography; Jaume Freixa for the concession of his class notes; Adrián Prieto, from Vienna, who has shared documentation which was previously only available for consultation in Austrian and American libraries. Finally, a special thank you to Patricia Sekler for the donation of her husband's original documentation and for supporting the continuation of his legacy.
