UPCommons: ben posicionat un any més

Com ja és habitual per aquestes dates, s'ha publicat la darrera versió del Ranking web de repositoris i un any més, UPCommons es troba molt ben posicionat: 19è repositori institucional mundial i 1er estatal. A nivell estatal, 3er producte en importància, comptant portals de revistes.

Sessió informativa d'Urkund i la prevenció del plagi: presentació disponible

D'acord amb el que es va acordar en Consell de Govern, sobre recursos i procediment de prevenció i detecció del plagi, previ al dipòsit, dels treballs i projectes de fi de Grau, de Màster i de les tesis doctorals, el passat 22 de gener de 2020, l'ICE va organitzar una formació sobre el tema, adreçada a PDI i PAS de la universitat.
La sessió es va dur a càrrec d’Eric Johansson Salazar-Sandoval, Key Account Manager Spain d’Urkund, que va presentar les principals funcionalitats del programa i com es gestiona la protecció de dades i la propietat intel·lectual dels treballs enviats per avaluació del plagi. 

Solitud de Víctor Català, propera lectura del club 'Llegir l’escenari. La tecnologia a escena'

Solitud, de Víctor Català, amb direcció d'Alícia Gorina. és la propera obra que es llegirà al club de lectura 'Llegir l’escenari. La tecnologia a escena' de la Biblioteca de l'Escola Politècnica Superior d'Edificació de Barcelona al Campus Sud de Barcelona. Una activitat gratuïta, dins el marc d'UPCArts, on es llegirà l'obra, s'assistirà a la funció i s'analitzaran aspectes com l'espai, la il·luminació o els elements multimèdia en tres sessions diferents.

• 25 de febrer, 18 h: club de lectura a la Biblioteca EPSEB, amb Alberto Rizzo
• 3 de març, 20 h: funció prèvia al TNC
• 10 de març, 18 h: xerrada amb un escenògraf vinculat a l'obra al TNC

UPCommons, the UPC open access institutional repository, has been ranked 19th in the world and 1st in Spain in the Transparent Ranking: Institutional Repositories by Google Scholar 8th edition (February 2020). In Spain, UPCommons is considered as the third- best institutional repository, alongside other portals of journals.

Urkund workshop: how to detect plagiarism
Following the decisions taken by the University Council as far as resources and proceedings to detect and prevent plagiarism in TFGs, TFMs, and doctoral theses is concerned; ICE organised and hosted a workshop on plagiarism detection and control. The session was addressed to all UPC researchers, professors, and administrative workers, and took place on 22 January 2020.
Eric Johansson Salazar-Sandoval, Key Account Manager Spain of Urkund held the lecture and presented how Urkund functions and how to manage data protection and copyright of the assignments submitted by students.

Stage Reading Book Club: “Solitud”
“Solitud” by Víctor Català, and directed by Alícia Gorina is the play we are reading in the next Stage Reading Book Club: ‘Technology takes the Stage’. This activity is framed within UPCArts and is free. We will read the play script, go to the play, and discuss topics such as stage space, theatre lighting design, or digital technology transforming plays, in three different sessions.
25  February at 18h: book club at EPSEB Library, hosted by Alberto Rizzo
3 March at 20h: play at TNC (Catalunya National Theatre)
10 March at 18h: discussion meeting with a theatrical designer working at TNC
