Els acords transformatius són acords de subscripció de revistes entre les editorials i les universitats o consorcis que inclouen un determinat nombre d'APC (Article Processing Charges) per publicar articles en accés obert immediat.
Durant el procés d'acceptació d'un article, quan l'autor/a de correspondència indica que vol publicar en accés obert, l'editorial contacta amb el Servei de Biblioteques Publicacions i Arxius que comprova que es compleixen tots els requisits.

Recentment, s'han signat acords transformatius amb l'Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) i la Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

New transformative agreements (IEEE and RSC)
Transformative agreements are subscription agreements between publishers and universities or consortia that include a specific number of Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing articles in immediate open access. During the article acceptance process, when the corresponding author indicates a desire to publish in open access, the publisher contacts the Publications and Archives Library Service to ensure that all requirements are met.

2025 Open Science Roadmap UPC
